The unpleasant sensations of the start were less poignant now. They merged at last into a kind of hysterical exhilaration. I remarked, indeed, a clumsy swaying of the machine, for which I was unable to account. But my mind was too confused to attend to it, so with a kind of madness growing upon me, I flung myself into futurity.

FF Bauer Grotesk: A 1930s classic revived

Rescued from a type specimen book, Friedrich Bauer Grotesk was a diamond in the rough, we couldn’t resist. We revived this classic typeface as FF Bauer Grotesk with a simple guiding motto: “What would Friedrich do?”
More dynamic than Futura and warmer than its geometric contemporaries, it balances strict clarity with human character through distinct details like an oval O and dynamic arches in n or m.
The updated family has been optimized for modern usage, featuring optical adjustments, new alternate characters, and expanded language support.
